Hallmark & Authenticity

At Khushi Jewels, every piece is handcrafted with honest materials and genuine natural gemstones. We believe you should know exactly what you're wearing, so here's what our hallmark means and how to identify an authentic Khushi Jewels piece.

What is 925 Sterling Silver?

Sterling silver is made of 92.5% pure silver blended with 7.5% other metals, usually copper. Pure silver on its own is too soft for everyday jewellery, and this blend gives each piece the strength to hold its shape and keep its gemstones secure, while keeping the bright, rich shine of real silver.

Our 925 Hallmark

Every sterling silver piece from Khushi Jewels carries a 925 stamp, a mark that certifies the silver purity of the piece. You'll usually find it in one of these places:

  • Rings: on the inside of the band
  • Pendants & necklaces: on the back of the pendant or near the clasp
  • Earrings: on the back of the earring or the post
  • Bracelets, cuffs & bangles: on the inner side or near the clasp

On very small or delicate pieces, the stamp may be tiny, so a magnifying glass or your phone's camera zoom can help you spot it.

Natural Gemstones

The stones in our jewellery are natural gemstones, including labradorite, rainbow moonstone, spiny oyster, turquoise and other semi-precious stones. Because they are formed by nature, no two stones are ever exactly alike. Variations in colour, pattern, veining, inclusions and flash are natural characteristics of each stone, not flaws, and they make every piece truly one of a kind.

The gemstone in the piece you receive may therefore look slightly different from the product photos.

Other Materials

Alongside our 925 sterling silver collection, we also offer select designs in silver plated, brass and copper. These pieces are clearly labelled on their product pages and do not carry a 925 hallmark. Please check the material details on each product before you order.

Handcrafted by Artisans

Each piece is made by hand by skilled artisans, from shaping the silver to setting every stone. Small variations in finish, texture and size are a natural part of handmade jewellery and a sign of the care that goes into it.

Why Silver Tarnishes (and Why That's a Good Sign)

Real sterling silver reacts naturally with air and moisture over time, which can cause it to darken or tarnish. This is completely normal and is actually one of the signs of genuine silver. Tarnish is easy to remove and does not affect the quality of your jewellery.

Caring for Your Jewellery

  • Store each piece in a dry, airtight pouch or box when not in use
  • Remove your jewellery before bathing, swimming, exercising or sleeping
  • Put on perfume, lotions and makeup before wearing your jewellery
  • Gently clean silver with a soft polishing cloth to restore its shine
  • Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic cleaners, especially on gemstone pieces
